Today I thought, "Why don't I review this new holiday body care collection from Laura Mercier?" not because it immediately struck me as one of the most eye-catching sets I've e'er seen, just considering, yeah, I'm wearing some crazy-@ss makeup right now (I await like a brownish Baby Jane!) for testing purposes (one eye is darker than the other…), and I wasn't ready to have pics yet. 🙂
Enter Laura Mercier's new $60 Soufflé Body Crème Sampler Collection! — which is actually my favorite thing in my bath right now.
Interestingly, my bathroom has been smelling a lot like my kitchen lately…
Wait — that sentence is just not going anywhere good, LOL!
Ha! Simply seriously, I think that Pumpkin Torso Butter from Trader Joe's ready off a food-scented chain reaction in my bath, because lately I haven't wanted annihilation to do with any moisturizers or body products that don't smell abso-frickin'-lutey succulent.
The set up includes iv scents, which I've been calling "flavors," even though they're inedible, because dayum, Gina! — if they were, I'd be spreading them on toast.
I don't know near you, merely I like smelling like a walking baker. I want people who pass me on the street to think, "Why practise I desire to bite that girl'south arm?!"
(Yes, I admit it. I've been watching and reading too many zombie stories…)
Really, though, what I desire are lotions that make me feel warm and cozy, similar I've been baking magically delicious treats in the kitchen.
Someone else'southward kitchen, I mean, considering mine hasn't seen a lot of baking lately. Just meals of questionable nutritional content. But imagine a cozy kitchen where someone's baking holiday cookies. Similar, hella cookies. So many cookies that all of your splurge points from hither till next Tuesday are completely obliterated.
With the drove, you get four iv-ounce body creams, each one with a different scent, and if you're going to get into these, yous should like food fragrances with warmer notes like vanilla and amber.

At present, even though I like these fragrances, that wouldn't mean a affair if these weren't also moisturizing, which they are, thank goodness, considering my peel needs a lot of moisture in autumn and winter. I also dearest the fluffy consistency considering it doesn't have forever and a day to work into my skin. I utilise a layer of one of these all over my torso subsequently my forenoon shower (even on my dry out-@ss Fred Flintstone feet).
The ane I'm wearing today is Ambre Vanillé, with — you guessed information technology — warm, cozy notes of amber and vanilla. I think it goes well with the perfumes I've been wearing lately, Dolce & Gabbana Intense, and Estee Lauder's Mod Muse.
And and then at that place's Fresh Fig, which I think also smells amazing. You know how when you walk into an Anthropologie store, and it always smells so inviting because they're ever burning fancy, expensive candles? Well, Fresh Fig smells merely similar that to me. Makes me want to read and sip tea in bed all day.
And I can't forget about Crème de Pistache, the pistachio scent. Hello, pistachio water ice cream! Oh, I can't fifty-fifty think most this one without food ecstasy making my eyes roll back in my caput…
The last 1 here, Coconut Milk Souffle, is the sweetest of the bunch, and it reminds me of sugariness lattes with almond milk and fresh carbohydrate cookies.
All four of the scents linger on my peel all twenty-four hour period long…
Beingness just four-ounce jars, they're likewise pretty portable, and the jars are lightweight plastic (but don't seem cheap), so they can jostle effectually in your luggage without shattering.
I've been displaying mine on the top shelf of my bathroom cabinet because I think they're pretty. Kind of former-timey, like something from an apothecary's shop in a minor, quaint town.
